It's an awesome SSD, currently reviewing it. But there is no way that very little space can replace my 500GB.
It will take some time getting used to 60GB of space. But absolute silence from the uMBP takes no time to get used to at all :D

I've had a look in their 'seven times faster' stuff -- what's the point of comparing a CD 2.16 to C2D 2.33? Apart from that, assuming that it wouldn't spit flames through the vents or sound like a Harrier at take off, I intend to buy one.

Apple will be stupid, make their TV the same shape as the others and be sued by everyone.

Apple Testing iPhone for T-Mobile USA
Is this some sort of surprise? Apple has tens of billions of dollars in cash. Why would they not be testing iphones for all known carriers, even if they couldn't go to market with it at this time? The only surprise here would be if Apple were not testing an iPhone for T-Mobile.

This is pretty cool, since it means we can measure how thick color is.
As far as light goes, where black is the absence of all color, white is the presence of all colors.
Clearly, this means all those extra colors in white are making the phone thicker.

I don't see this happening, TV technology changes to fast to get stuck with an expensive TV that you need to keep for many years to justify the higher price.
Case in point the new Bose videowave TV it's over $5k for a 46" tv! :eek:

Just as I said and expected, only minor changes. I think its great Apple is giving 2GB of memory in standard configs, that is hopefully a sign of things to come in the pro line overall.

Around here AIM is all anyone uses...
The American market is not like the rest of the world and it really isn't 'all anyone uses'.
Here's a more recent survey...

Parallels has been great, and I'm tolerating CrossOver. I'd just like CrossOver to be faster and more power, plus easier to use. Windows is one bicycle this fish doesn't need.

I would think that's just a string variable that holds the App name. For some reason, it displays the variable instead of displaying its value.

I have to agree with a lot of the people here who are concerned with security. Part of the reason OS X seemed so secure was because no one tested it. Now that we have Intel chips and a growing market share, vulnerabilities are being exploited. The day that I have to go out and buy virus protection for OS X is the day I consider going back to Windows. Vista looks like OS X so switching wouldn't be as big a pain.:)
