Hey,
Going to Dj a few parties... i already have a Music Fidelity V-DAC and the MIXX, wondering if i can cue up music through my macbook, preview it through headphones, while the music is playing through the usb connected v-dac....
what do i need to pull this off?
am i making sense? some music and drink in me currently... ha!

I have an Apple 24" LED. It is in warranty through Apple Care. The monitor has large black sections at the bottom of the screen and I want to have it replaced. Since the 24" LED is not made anymore, does Apple replace it with a refurbished 24" or do they repair the monitor?

I simply want to keep my voice plan the same and choose the new M2M. The M2M feature shows up under our family unlimited messaging thus I was assuming and hoping the voice plan rollover mins would remain unchanged.

Not giving something you own to someone else is not an act of war. Besides, the USA didn't placed the oil embargo out of nothing. Japan started a war first, hence the oil embargo.
I bet the Japanese felt different, they were at war we directly threatened their national security through our political policy.
Again it's probably the same thing we would have done, the only difference is that were so powerful people don't feel comfortable snubbing our demands.

And this is why HTML5 versions of these types of apps are coming. At which point it will become more clear that Apple did not really offer anything.
Apple does offer something for smaller companies for which a 30% for payment handling might actually be a good deal.
It has been suggested in a number of places that Apple simply underestimated the cost of free apps (to them) and is now trying to claw back revenue where it can (first by allowing in-app purchasing for free apps, something Jobs said would never happen: 'Free apps stay free', then via iAds, then via this subscription service) while at the same time providing a service to its customers (who do not have to enter their creditcard for every in-app purchase or subscription anymore).
The contention only started when Apple made in-App purchases and subscriptions exclusive to their method.

What, did Apple think that Verizon customers would warmly welcome someone who shunned them for 4 years? The customer is most important, shouldn'thave signed that exclusive contract with AT&T... relly stunted their growth in the CDMA market, people move on too...

I started playing games in 1984 during the Crash. I grew up more on nintendo, but we had an atari in the house. I've gone back and played hundreds of Atari games over the years for a web site and I stand by my position that most of them are crap.
Some games like Adventure, Tempest, Ms. Pacman hold up pretty well, but they are the exception.

Of course not. However, there are certain cases where the death penalty should be applied. The arizona shooter for example who killed a 9 year old girl and many others, he should be fried. It's not like there's any possible chance he could be innocent. While i don't buy the argument that the death penalty costs more than life in prison, even if this argument was factually true, i would still support the death penalty. There's just no reason for some people to be alive after what they've done.

If the iPhone 5 is delayed as much as some suppliers are speculating ( in to next year ), the bright spot would be that the iPhone 4 price would likely get slashed to keep sales going. I'd still ride it out with my 3Gs though...unless I gave in to the temptation to try another platform.
i was tempted to try apple for a year, and me poking my nose around this area of the forum trying to see when the next one drops. Sucks that if they do delay this one i wont be trying them out this year. I would love to do such a thing so each year i can bounce back and forth from android to ios to windows 7 give them all time to keep improving.

Why? The law requires an rights owner to defend its IP or risk losing it. These suits are just business, no hard feelings, as seen by Apple's monster-sized component contract w/ Samsung. Any yes, business is about making money.
Every time there's a patent or copyright article and people go off the deep end calling these companies crazy/evil, etc, I wish the article would indicate the fact that they are actually required to do so or risk losing their patent/trademarks. Doesn't even matter if they want to or not.

No movie studios have enabled this feature ("ICT" Image Constraint Token), nor have they stated that they intend to enable this feature in the future (although that is possible). All HD DVDs and Blu-Ray discs AND players currently available can send a full high definition image over analog component outputs as well as HDMI.

i'm not to keen on this whole cloud computing concept that is floating around at the moment. Anyone else have doubts?

Most people don't call it a 'cloud,' but an amazing number of people pretty much just use Facebook as their only photo-storage facility. Forget the fact that many of them become down-rezzed when doing so...and that's before you get into conversations about how safe the data is and how you can access it. Those kind of thoughts don't even enter most people's minds.
I've heard from so many people who have lost entire computer drives and kind of laugh it off 'cause their photos are on Facebook and their music is on their iPod.
You and I may see the downsides to cloud computing compared to what we do now, but for these people a better cloud-computing-workflow from a company like Apple would actually be a huge step UP.
